Alternative Veterinary Medicine

There are veterinary medical and behavioral problems that may need and benefit from a dual approach to them.  These problems may need and benefit from both a Western veterinary medicine approach and from an Eastern veterinary medicine approach (alternative veterinary medicine).

The Eastern veterinary medicine approach may involve acupuncture for your pet's joint problems, allergies, skin problems in addition to allergies and may also involve the use of Chinese herbs as well.

The veterinarians at Peñasquitos Pet Clinic will refer you to one of several veterinarians in our area who are certified veterinary acupuncturists and are certified in the use of Chinese herbs.

You can call for a referral or you can ask our veterinarians about a referral during your pet's visit to our hospital.

We will be happy to refer you to a veterinarian who is certified in both these areas of Eastern veterinary medicine.
