Our Staff

Debbie Kirkpatrick
Practice Manager
Debbie has been with our clinic since January of 1989. She attends many Practice Management meetings in order to offer the best services possible to our clients. She is married to the perfect man, Glen and has 3 wonderful sons, Russell, Trevor, and Terrence. She is very active in her church and a HUGE football fan. Go Chargers!! The Kirkpatrick's have 2 cats, Paul and Morgan.  Debbie is dedicated to helping all our clients, patients and staff have a great experience at our clinic.

Tina James
Lead Technician
Taking on the role of supervisor and surgery technician, Tina has been caring for our clients and patients since September 1997. She is a single mom of one incredible son, Sebastian. She coaches soccer and is great at organizing everything in our clinic.  She is the greatest when it comes to keeping track of our inventory and searching for hard to find medications for our patients. She and her son have 4 crazy cats, Nino, Madeline, Elliott, and Toad (who thinks he is a dog) and 2 (constantly growing) aquatic turtles.

Lisa Brightbill
Receptionist
She is one of our current full time receptionists.  She has been with our clinic since 2001.  She worked part-time from 2006-2010 while she earned her degree in Communications from Cal State San Marco.  She has two beautiful cats, Thomas and Stella, that she loves to spoil.

Tori Kane
Administrative Assistant
A Poway resident since 1989, Tori came on board as a "perfect fit" in our reception area back in early 2008. Better known as the "Desert Rat", she enjoys spending time with her two boys, Ron and Kevin, out "4-wheelin". She is also "mom" to her dogs, Duger, Jaxson and Willow.  Tori offers an extra service for our clients and patients: pet sitting for those clients who would prefer to have their dogs and cats stay home rather than be boarded away from home when their owners go out of town.

Bob Iddings
Veterinary Assistant
Bob is a great guy who just joined our clinic 3 months ago.  He is very smart and the animals all like him because he is very calm.  It is great that he is tall as he helps us reach things on the top shelf.  Before Bob came we had to climb up the foot ladder.  Bob likes both our animals patients and our clients and it shows in his ready smile, his great sense of humor and in his caring manner.  Bob is aiming for veterinary school in another year.  We will really miss him but we are rooting for him.  Go Bob!

Miranda Madruaga
Veterinary Assistant
Miranda is in high school.  She attends Westview High School where in addition to all her classes she works on the school newspaper and she works here at our clinic.  She is very resourceful and self sufficient.  She is great help on Friday afternoon and Saturday.  These are times when we are very busy.  Miranda really helps out by showing clients into the rooms, getting great histories of what is happening with our patients and making up their medications to help them get better.  She is really good with our patients.  Her concern and care for them shows through in the gentle manner with which she holds them during their procedures and gives them yummy treats afterward.  Thanks Miranda for all your help.

Alera Dermody
Veterinary Assistant
Alera just graduated high school and is attending college.  She is a great help to us on Fridays and Saturdays.  She really gets the job done.  She helps show clients into our exam rooms, gets the patient's history and helps hold patients for the doctors.  She is also great at keeping the hospital very clean, going out of her way to find all the little things that need day to day attendance.  We are very happy to have her with us.

Mittens
Hospital Cat and Greeter
Mittens, a long haired black and white female kitty, couldn't stay at her home so we, reluctantly, took her in. Lucky for us because she is probably one of the best "greeters" we have ever had. Like all good cats she hangs out near the "dog lobby" and comes down off her perch regularly to annoy the reception staff. Her main goal in life is to lay on her perch in the sun or watch the birds outside our big picture window =^..^=.
